About Karen’s Counseling Services in Sugar Hill

Karen desires to create a safe, compassionate environment where clients can explore difficulties knowing they will be cared for and heard. She considers it an honor to walk alongside individuals, couples, and families to help them navigate life’s challenges and restore a sense of hope.
Over the course of seven years, Karen mentored and coached young adults who ministered in different countries around the world. As a result of this experience Karen felt a call to pursue counseling as a full-time career.
She and her husband lived in Indonesia and the Dominican Republic where Karen taught elementary school. They have lived in north Georgia for the past 24 years. She also provided leadership in establishing a university model school in north Georgia. Karen and her husband have five grown children and nine grandchildren.
Karen loves to spend time reading, cooking, gardening, and backpacking. Her favorite times are spent with family and friends sharing life together.
